Desco Printing is the brainchild of Mr. Douglas E. Strack, an entrepreneur who, in the early 1970s set out to become the Coupon King of Hillsborough county. He purchased presses, typesetting, and bindery equipment and set up shop in a small wood frame house near Parsons Avenue and Brandon Boulevard where he began manufacturing his coupon magazines. Unfortunately the glitz and glamour of the coupon business wasn’t all it was cracked up to be and his reign as Coupon King was short lived. Undeterred, Mr. Strack pivoted and in 1973 he began offering general printing services to the community as the Douglas E. Strack Company, or D.E.S.Co. for short.
That was almost 50 years ago. Mr. Strack and the little wooden house are gone but Desco Printing has been here the whole time. We’re still family owned and we still offer quality printing and friendly personal service to the people and business of central Florida. In September, 2022 we moved to our new location in Valrico Place at 3104 State Road 60 East where we’re open 8am-4pm, Monday through Friday.
